The North West Development Commission Scholarship program is offering awards for the Nigerian students wishes to pursue their Undergraduate programmes or Postgraduate programmes for foreign scholarship.
This NWDC scholarship program seeks to develop academic excellence and encourage talented individuals from the Northwest region to pursue postgraduate and post-graduate studies at leading universities abroad.

NWDC Scholarship Application Eligibility Criteria
To be qualify for the NWDC scholarship, applicants must have meet the following application eligibility criteria highlights below:
- Applicants must be a Nigerian citizens by birth or neutralization
- Applicants to apply for Undergraduate programmes must have a minimum of five 5 Credits in O’Level results ( WAEC or NECO result) includes Biology, Mathematics, English language, Chemistry and physics.
- Applicants to apply for Masters degree programmes must have a minimum of Second Class Upper division in their 1st degree programmes.
- Applicant to apply for P.hD Programmes must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 4.00 in their masters degree.
- Applicants must be an indigene from the northwest zone of Nigeria which includes Jigawa State Kaduna State ,Kano State, Katsina State, Kebbi State, Sokoto State and Zamfara State
- Applicants must between 18 to 35 years ( for both Bachelors and Masters degree applicants) while Ph.D applicants must be 40 years during the application form.

- Secondary Certificate (WAEC or NECO).
- Applicants Bachelors Degree Certificate.
- Masters Degree Certificate (applicable for Ph.D applicants only).

- Applicants NYSC Discharge Certificate or Exemption Letter.
- Applicants State of origin Certificate (Indigene Certificate).

NWDC Scholarship Application Selection Process
The North West Development Commission (NWDC) Scholarship Programme will select the qualified applicants based on the following criteria outlined below:
1. Submit an online application Form: all applicants are requested to complete their application form by the scholarship official portal.
2. Take an Online Aptitude Test: all applicants who meets pre selected stage will be invited to take the online screening aptitude test and must score a minimum marks.
3. Attend a Physical Screening: applicants who successfully passed the Aptitude test would be invited to attend a physical screening of his/her documents/credentials
4. Final List of The Beneficiaries: All beneficiaries will get a fully sponsored to complete their academic learning.
