The The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) announces it is foreign Postgraduate Scholarship for masters degree for the state indigenous. The Niger Delta Development Commission is initiates a foreign postgraduate scholarship for masters programmes.

The program as part of the human resource development initiatives to equip Niger Deltans with the training and skills they need to participate in local government programs and compete internationally in various professional fields.

The NDDC Scholarship is for candidates who meet the requirements and have obtained a relevant Bachelors or Masters degree from accredited and recognized universities.

NDDC Postgraduate (Masters Degree) Scholarships 2026/2027

The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Postgraduate (Masters  Degree) Scholarship Programme is a strategic initiative established by federal government through the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) to promote advanced education and human capital development among young graduates from the Niger Delta region.

Through this scholarship, beneficiaries are given the opportunity to pursue Master’s degree programmes in reputable institutions within Nigeria and abroad.

A key feature of the NDDC scholarship is its focus on inclusivity within a defined geographical scope. The programme is strictly open to indigenes of the Niger Delta region, which includes Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Imo, Ondo  and Rivers States

The application for NDDC Scholarship 2026 will run from 23th March 2026 to 19th April 2026 and all interested and eligible candidates are strongly advised to visit the scholarship portal complete and submit their applications before the deadline of the application.

NDDC Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for the NDDC postgraduate scholarship:

  • Candidates must be an indigene of Niger Delta.
  • Candidates must have completed their bachelors Degrees in relevant discipline.
  • Candidates must have achieved a First Class division, Second Class Upper division, and or Lower division bachelor degree. 
  • Candidates must not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years.
  • Candidates must enrolled as a full time students for masters programmes.
  • Candidates must have completed their NYSC serving and or achieved exemption letter.

  • Candidate degrees obtained from any accredited and recognized universities

to start application form.

Step 2: Candidates shall Click on SIGN UP to create an account for New user using legal Name, Email address and password. While existing user shall click on log in by provides email address and password to continue application form.

Step 3: Verify and confirm your email address by visiting mail inbox or spam folder.

Step 4: Log into account and fill the application form.

Step 5: Fill out your Personal Information

NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship Application Selection Process 

Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) select qualified Candidates based on the following application selection criteria highlights below:

1. Submit Application: NDDC select qualified candidates starting from candidates who successfully submitted their online application. Interested candidates for NDDC postgraduate scholarship must have submit an online application form through the Commission official website.

2. O’Level Results: Candidates before selected as a qualified candidates must have achieved NECO/WASSCE results with mandatory passed subjects.

3. Computer Based Test: Candidates who meet pre selected stage, must undergo computer based test (CBT) with a minimum score of 70% mark.

Important Note:

  • Candidates who meet pre selected stage will undergo computer based test (CBT) for consideration. 
  • Candidates must have score a a minimum of 70% mark in computer based test (CBT) before considered for the next stage.
  • Candidates who meet the final selection will go for verification through (CDC) the Local Government Area (LGA) and Community Development Committee.
  • NDDC Postgraduate Scholarship is only available for Masters Degree Candidates.
  • Application Deadline is 19th April, 2026 commenced from 23th March, 2026.
