About  NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 

Nigeria LNG Limited was established as a limited company on May 17, 1989 to exploit Nigeria’s abundant natural gas resources and produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export to the countries outside.

The establishment of NLNG is supported by the NLNG Act. The company is owned by four shareholders, namely the Federal Government of Nigeria.

This Nigeria LNG Limited offers scholarship for Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Nigeria or abroad to support the education section of the country, as usually Nigeria LNG Limited opens application portal for Undergraduate Nigerian students. Nigeria LNG Limited will  awards with the sum of N300,000 per annum to any qualified Nigerian Students.

Benefits Of NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship 

Any student who is qualified for the NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship will benefit with the sum of N300,000 per annum.

NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

  • Students Must be a Citizen o f Nigeria and Indigent of any of the NLNG selected Communities.
  • Students must have currently maintain at least CGPA of 3.50 on a scale of 5.00 or a at least CGPA of 3.00 on a scale of 4.00 in each academic session.
  • Students Must be between 18 to 25 years old during the submission of application form.
  • Students Living with disabilities (SLWDs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Students Must be currently enrolled in recognized and accredited Nigerian Public tertary institutions consist of federal or state University.
  • Student Me be enrolled for an Undergraduate Programmes ( Bachelor’s degree programs).
  • Students Must have a Minimum of Five (credits) in “O” level results (NECO, WAEC, NEBTED, and or any equivalent result) in not more than two Settings including English language and General Mathematics.
  • Students to qualified must have scored at least 200 in 2024 UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination).
  • Students must be enrolled as a Full time students in any Nigerian Public tertary institutions ( Federal or State University).
  • Students must be currently admitted in any one of the following Programmes Computer Science, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Geosciences and or Information Technology field.
  • Students must not bea Child, spouse, or any direct connection with Staff of NLNG.
  • Students must not be a beneficiary of any scholarships for both the Public and or private organizations.
  • Students must have present a valid Identification letter from the local government council area and or applicable Host communities.

NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship Eligible Fields 

Student to be eligible for NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship must be currently admitted in any one of the following fields:

  • Computer Science/Information Technology
  • Engineering
  • Environmental
  • Geosciences Courses

NLNG Application Supporting Documents Required To Uploads 

Student are required to uploads a Cleared scanned copies of the following documents:

  • Student Recent Passport photography 
  • Student O-Level and UTME results
  • Student School Admission Letter 
  • Student JAMB Admission Letter
  • Student I’D Card 
  • Student Birth Certificate Issuing from National Population Commission (NPC)
  • Student Letter of Indigent (certificate of Indigent)
  • Student National Identity Number (NIN) Temporary Slip 
  • Student Official Transcript signed and stamped by the University

Student to apply for NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship scheme, make sure to follows the steps below:

Step 1: Visit the NLNG Application Portal at candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/NLNGUGSSH 

Step 2: CLICK Register to crean account for New user by using your email address and password while existing user should click log in for the continuation of application. After you have created an account you need to activate and verify an account by visiting your email address used creating the account, check the link sent to your email address in the spam folder and or inbox to activate and verify your account 

Step 3: once you have activated and verified your account, you need to Log in using your email address and password to complete your details.

Step 4: Fill all the requires fields ( personal informations, educational background, and other you fields you may require to fill and upload all cleared scanned copies of your documents. You should ensure that Names on your documents must tallying with the Names in the Application form, and Make sure to Preview all your uploaded documents to avoid  mistakes and or missing documents uploaded.

Step 5: You should upload a cleared recent passport photography and review the applications to ensure that are all correct and accurate to avoid any errors/mistakes.

Step 6: your should Click “APPLY NOW” to submit your application to NLNG Scholarship Board for review.

Once you have submitting your application you will receive a Mail in your email address confirming that your application form for NLNG Undergraduate Scholarship is successfully sent and received by the NLNG Scholarship Board.
