JAMB Admission: How to Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS

Candidates who seeking admission into tertiary institutions can now check their admission status and easily know when the institution have been offered you an admission. Once a candidate has been offered an admission on JAMB CAPS, such candidate is required to do either of two things: 

1. Accept the admission 

2. Reject the admission 

Some the schools have already started uploading their Admission Lists on the JAMB Portal as you can see. Therefore, you are kindly advise to regularly monitor their admission status on JAMB CAPS so as to know if they have been offered admission to study the courses of their choice.

Some schools may not released the list of admitted candidates on their own portal or public notice board. So for candidates that applied for the admission in such schools, the only way to know when they have been offered admission is to check their admission status on JAMB CAPS.

How To Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS 2025/2026

1. Visit JAMB official portal at https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/ and login in to your profile using your registered email address and password to access your profile dashboard.

2. Click on the “Check Admission Status” on your profile dashboard.

3. Click on the “Access my CAPS” on your profile dashboard.

4. Click on “Admission Status” to confirm whether you have been offered admission or not 

If candidates have been admitted admission they will see a  response with your Photo Image being displayed and a text Congratulations! you on your admission offer.  But if a candidates haven’t been offered admission they will see a text response with “Sorry Not Admission or admission has not been Given Yet”

How to Accept Admission on JAMB CAPS

Once a candidates have been offered admission, his/she  can proceed to Accept or Reject the admission by sending ACCEPT or REJECT as SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the registered Phone number linked to your JAMB profile.

Candidates have a grace of 4 weeks to accept the offer of admission else their admission will be rejected. In addition, those who do not have their registered phone numbers are to visit a JAMB accredited centre to Accept or Reject their admissions. It’s an alternative to those candidates who don’t have their registered phone number.

NB: Candidates who have been offered admission are directed to print their admission letter after accepting the offer of admission. This offer of admission are to present during the clearance and registration in the school that offered you an admission.

If you are using a smart phone, you may not see the option to view the Login Status on CAPS, Most smart phone users can only see the welcome message.

Request to desktop mode to view the full page. This is why Chrome browser is recommended if you are using a smart phone. All you have to do is go to Chrome options and request to desktop mode for the full page to display.

Q1: How do I check my admission status on JAMB CAPS?

Candidates are to Visit the JAMB official portal, log in to your profile, and click on “Check Admission Status” or “Access my CAPS” to view your admission status.

Q2: What are the possible admission status outcomes?

There are three possible outcomes:

  • Admitted: You’ve been offered admission.
  • Not Admitted: No admission offer has been made yet.
  • Admission in Progress: Your admission status is still under consideration.
