BOI–iDICE Loan Fund 2026: Portal, Requirements and How to Apply

The Bank of Industry (BOI) Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme has officially opened its application portal for eligible Nigerian startups and growth-stage businesses seeking affordable financing to expand their operations. Through the BOI–iDICE Debt Fund and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Non-Interest Financing Facility, qualified businesses can access funding to scale innovative ideas, create employment, and contribute to Nigeria’s digital economy.

If you operate a registered technology or creative business in Nigeria, this programme offers a unique opportunity to secure financing of up to ₦1 billion to accelerate your business growth.

What is the BOI iDICE Programme?

The Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises (iDICE) Programme is a flagship initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and job creation across the country’s digital and creative sectors.

The programme is co-financed by the Bank of Industry (BOI), the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), and other development partners to provide affordable financing and enterprise development support for Nigerian startups.

The initiative focuses on helping businesses that have the potential to scale rapidly, compete globally, and contribute significantly to Nigeria’s economic transformation.

BOI iDICE Debt Fund

The BOI-iDICE Debt Fund provides affordable loans to startups and established businesses operating in eligible sectors.

The fund was created with approximately US$45 million dedicated to supporting youth-led businesses with innovative solutions capable of driving economic growth.

Businesses can apply for funding to:

  • Expand business operations
  • Purchase equipment
  • Increase production capacity
  • Develop innovative products
  • Create employment opportunities
  • Improve service delivery
  • Strengthen business competitiveness

IsDB iDICE Non-Interest Financing Facility

For entrepreneurs seeking Sharia-compliant financing, the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) has introduced a US$65 million Murabaha financing facility.

Unlike conventional loans, Murabaha financing follows Islamic financial principles by eliminating interest (Riba). Instead, financing is structured through the purchase and resale of business assets at an agreed markup.

Successful applicants will receive financing through approved Partner Financial Institutions (PFIs) operating as non-interest banks in collaboration with the Bank of Industry.

This financing option is ideal for entrepreneurs and businesses that prefer ethical and non-interest financial solutions.
