The Federal Government of Nigeria has launched the National Fertilizer Management Program (NFMP) for Nigerian Farmers, its a digital initiative aimed at strengthening the fertilizer value chain and improving agricultural productivity across the country.

The program was developed by the Farm Inputs Support Services (FISS) Department under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (FMAFS), the platform provides a centralized system for fertilizer manufacturers, importers, blenders, distributors, cooperatives, and farmers to register and conduct their activities in compliance with national regulations.

The National Fertilizer Management Program (NFMP) is an online registration and management system developed by the Farm Inputs Support Services (FISS) Department under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security.

  • Farmers must in any one of the following; fertilizer manufacturers, fertilizer blending companies, fertilizer importers, fertilizer distributors, agricultural cooperatives, registered farmers or agribusiness investors.
  • National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Tax Identification Number (TIN).
  • Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration documents where applicable.

General Guidelines for Fertilizer Businesses

Companies and individuals planning to engage in fertilizer manufacturing, blending, importation, or distribution must complete the official registration process through the Farm Inputs Support Services Department.

The registration process involves several stages:

1. Create an Online Account

Applicants are required to visit the NFMP portal and create an account using their personal or business information.

2. Await Account Approval

After registration, submitted details will be reviewed by the relevant authorities. Applicants must wait until their accounts are approved before proceeding to the next stage.

3. Complete the Application

  • Gender.
  • State of Residence.
  • Local Government Area (LGA).
  • Ward.
  • Home Address.
  • Means of Identification.
  • Identification Number.
  • Cooperative Information (if applicable).
  • Farm Location or Address.
  • Farm Size.
  • Type of Crops Being Produced.
  • Group Leadership Information (where applicable).
  • Lead Status.
  • Lead Phone Number.
  • Lead First Name and Surname.
