Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG) Program
The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Federal Ministry of Education, has officially launched the Student Venture Capital Grant Program (S-VCG), a nationwide initiative designed to empower innovative student entrepreneurs.
This programme offers grant funding of up to ₦50 million to support groundbreaking projects in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical Sciences (STEMMS).
The Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG) Program is open to 300 level students and above who are currently enrolled in accredited Nigerian tertiary institutions. More than 1,000 student led innovations will be featured in the National Innovation Repository as part of this initiative.

Who is eligible for the S-VCG Program?
- Applicants must be a citizens of Nigeria
- Applicants must currently enrolled in tertary institutions in Nigeria (universities, polytechnics and colleges)
- Applicants must be in their 300 Level and above and admitted in Nigerian tertiary institutions.
- Applicants must be in any of the following: Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medical Sciences (STEMMS).

Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG) Program Application Process
1. Pitch Your Business: Students or teams must upload their shared business information, a video pitch, and a funding request through the S-VCG application portal.
2. Review and Announcement: Applications go through multiple rounds of review. Even projects that are not selected receive positive feedback and are visible in the Creative Hub.
3. Validation and Shortlisting: Selected teams work through a rigorous validation process to fine-tune their solution, strengthen their business model, and prepare to launch significant work.
4. Receive Funding: Approved teams unlock funding in batches that have reached specific milestones, tracked through the S-VCG process and timeline.

To apply for Student Venture Capital Grant (SVCG) Program, applicants need to follows the steps below:
1. Visit the program official website via S-VCG Application

2. Click on Apply Now to get started.
3. Choose Your Role, Select as a student or investor like to participate in the S-VCG program and click on Continue.
4. Create Your Student Account with your basic information.
5. Fill the application form and uploads the required documents.
6. Submit an application and wait for the Shortlist.
