The YIA Fellowship is a fellowship programme open for African young men and women of between 18 to 35 years old from the countries such as Kenya, Uganda, Ghana and or residing in Africa.This YIA Fellowship Programme is focuses to support young men and women with skills in the agricultural sector. 

The YIA (Young Impact Associates in Agrifood Systems) Fellowship considered peoples from cities, rural, those who are refugees and also peoples with disabilities, all are eligible to participate into the programme.

The YIA are collaboration with AWARD, AFIDE, Akademia, CIFOR, Mastercard Foundation and World Agroforestry to support young men and women with the Young Impact Associates in Agrifood Systems Fellowship 

YIA Fellowship Programme Summary 

• Fellowship Portal Open: 21th April, 2025
• Fellowship Sponsored: AWARD, AFIDE, Akademia, CIFOR, Mastercard Foundation and World Agroforestry 
• Fellowship Host: Young Impact Associates 
• Fellowship Country: Ghana, Uganda, Kenya and residents of Africa
• Fellowship Age Limit: 18 to 35 years old

YIA Fellowship Programme Duration 

The YIA fellowship programme will start their activities in the middle of June 2025 and runout at the end of May 2026. The duration of the YIA fellowship programme is indicates that, the activities will commence at June 2025 and end May 2026.

YIA Fellowship Programme Eligibility criteria

• Been a Nationals of Kenya Uganda residing in Africa region.
• Must be between the range of 18 to 35 years old during the application form.
• Must have engaged in self employment, Unemployment, Studying and or full/part time work.
• Must have a minimum of diploma, bachelors degree in relevant fields.
• Must have a Passion and goal driven interest in the field of impact measurement 
• Must have a Motivation and demonstrated desire to use data driven methodologie
• Must have a Commitment to participate in a full time 12 month Programme 
• Must have a good communication Skills (written and spoken).

YIA Fellowship Application Process 

1. Screening Process: Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria mentioned above will be contacted for further directives.

2. Preselected and Aptitude test: Candidates who passed the screening Process will be selected and contacted to undergo an assessment.

3. Final Selection Process: Only candidates successfully passed the assessment will selected for the final selection.

Notification of result: All selected candidates will be issue a result within a shortly period.

4. Training Onboarding: This process the YIA committee should make sure that all successfully candidates are onboarding.

4. Fill out your experience details in Agricultural sector.

5. Complete your motivation and outcome regarding this YIA fellowship program 

6. Uploads your support documents. The support documents includes candidates curriculum vietal (CV) and letter of motivation.

7. Click on the SUBMIT to forward your application form for review and evaluation.
