The National Identity Management Commission has introduced the NIN Pre-Enrollment and Booking Portal to improve the National identification Number registration process across Nigeria.

This initiative portal is aimed at reducing overcrowding at NIMC enrolment centres across Nigeria, minimizing long queues in the enrollment centres and making the entire process faster and more convenient for applicants who want to enroll.

Through this portal, applicants can enter their personal details and book an appointment centre and date at preferred NIMC centre.

This system ensures that most of the data capture is done online, leaving only biometric capture (fingerprints, photograph and signature) to be completed at the NIMC enrollment centre.

How the NIN Pre-Enrollment & Booking process

1. Pre-Enrollment Portal: Individuals can visit the official NIMC pre-enrolment portal and fill in their personal information such as name, date of birth, address and other required details.
2. Booking an Appointment: After completing the form, applicants select a preferred enrolment centre, date, and time for biometric capture.
3. Visit NIMC Enrollment Centre: Visit the enrolment centre
On the scheduled date, applicants go to the chosen centre with their booking slip and supporting documents for biometric capture.
4. Biometric Capture and Submission: NIMC officials capture fingerprints, photograph and signature, then finalize the enrolment.
5. NIN Issuance: After candidates completed the pre enrollment registration and biometric captured. the candidates NIN is generated and made available according to NIMC’s processing timeline.

Important Note:

The Pre-enrollment portal does not replace physical appearance at a NIMC enrollment centre.

The biometrics must still be captured in person at the enrollment centres. Applicants must ensure that all information entered online is accurate and consistent with their supporting documents to avoid delays of getting NIN slip.
