Green Leaders Fellowship 2026: Application Form and How to Apply

The Green Institute is pleased to announce that applications are now open for it is Green Leaders Fellowship 2026.

Interested and qualified applicants are invited to apply for green leaders fellowship. This green leaders fellowship was designed to identify and develop outstanding sustainability leaders from all 36 states plus FCT Abuja. Interested and eligible Nigerians are encouraged to submit their applications before the deadline august 26, 2026.

About Green Leaders Fellowship

The Green Leaders Fellowship is a programme designed to select and develop 37 exceptional individuals from one each of Nigerian 36 states plus FCT Abuja. The programme aimed of brings together climate advocates, professionals and grassroots change makers for an intensive residential leadership experience across the country.

The Participants of the green leaders fellowship will participating in one week immersive training focused on climate governance, sustainability innovation and policy engagement. The green leaders fellowship also focuses on strategic thinking and action driven solutions tailored to local challenges.

Green Leaders Fellowship Eligibility Criteria

Interested candidates to be considered for the Green Leaders Fellowship 2026, candidates must have following requirements:

Participants must be a Nigerian citizen residing in any one of the 36 states plus FCT Abuja.
Participants must demonstrate strong interest and commitment to sustainability and climate action of the programme.
Participates must possess leadership experience or clear leadership potential
Participants must Show the ability to mobilize communities and stakeholders
Participates must have a history record of impact or willingness to drive measurable change
Participants must be from any one of the following sector civil society, academia, public sector, private sector or grassroots initiatives
