Federal government through Expanded National MSME Clinics will open an application portal on April 7th for the National MSME Award 2026 8th Edition Clinics to empower and provides financial support for Nigerian Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

Federal government offers total funding package exceeding ₦1 billion under the National MSME Awards Program for Nigerian MSMEs.

The National MSME Awards will continues to serve as a powerful Initiative for recognizing excellence across major sectors, while providing entrepreneurs with the financial support and visibility needed to expand and improve their businesses.

About National MSME Awards Initiative

Federal government through Expanded National MSME Clinics has Launched National MSME Awards Initiative in 2018. The National MSME Awards has grown into a highly anticipated annual event that showcases excellence across diverse sectors of the Nigerian economy. The National MSME Awards Initiative was powered by the federal government under the Expanded National MSME Clinics.

Over the years, the National MSME Awards initiative has recognized over 40 exceptional MSMEs, providing them with the financial support and visibility needed to expand and improve their businesses. The National MSME Awards Initiative awards also reflect the strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in promoting enterprise development in Nigeria.

FG MSME Grants Application 2026

The Federal Government of Nigeria through the Expanded National MSME Clinics has officially launched the National MSME Awards programme.This National MSME Awards Application 2026 will offers a major opportunity for Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to access funding, recognition and business growth support.

This National MSME Awards initiative was designed and implemented through the Expanded National MSME Clinics to identify and reward outstanding Nigerian businesses that are contributing to economic development, innovation and job creation. Federal government through Expanded National MSME Clinics will provide financial support pool exceeding ₦1 billion for Nigerian MSMEs. The maim aims of this National MSME Awards Grants 2026 program is to empower entrepreneurs across various sectors of the economy.

The application portal for the FG National MSME Awards Grants 2026 will officially kickoff on April 7th, 2026 and ends on May 7th, 2026. All interested and suitably qualified MSMEs are strongly advised to complete and submit their applications before the deadline of application. Applications submitted later then the application period will not be accepted.

2. National MSME Award for Excellence in Fashion and Style

This category celebrates outstanding Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the fashion sector that reflect Nigerian unique style, creativity and cultural identity through clothing and design.

3. National MSME Award for Excellence in Information Technology

This category honors Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) making significant strides in the tech industry by developing innovative solutions that address social and economic challenges.

4. National MSME Award for Excellence in Furniture and Woodworks

This category is dedicated to recognizing exceptional craftsmanship, creativity, and quality in furniture design, wood production and installation.

5. National MSME Award for Excellence in Wellness, Beauty and Cosmetics

This category acknowledges Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) focused on enhancing personal care, beauty and overall well being through innovative products and services.

6. National MSME Award for Excellence in Leather Works

This category highlights businesses demonstrating superior skill and creativity in the production of high quality leather goods.

7. National MSME Award for Excellence in Manufacturing

This category rewards Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) contributing significantly to the manufacturing sector, particularly those promoting locally made products and industrial growth.

8. National MSME Award for Excellence in Agriculture

This category recognizes Nigerian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) actively involved in strengthening the agricultural value chain, including production, processing, distribution and export.

Requirements for National MSME Awards 2026 Grants Program

Nigerian MSMEs to be eligible for the National MSME Awards 2026 programme, applicants must have the following eligibility criteria:

1. Applicants must be a Nigerian owned MSME operating within any of the eligible sectors ( Agriculture, Creative Arts, Furniture & Woodwork, Tax Compliance, Leather Works, Fashion, Technology, Wellness & Cosmetics and Manufacturing)

2. Applicants must be at least 18 years old

3. Applicants must Possess active CAC registration

4. Applicants must have a valid Tax Identification Number (TIN)

5. Applicants must have provide a clear two minute video showcasing their business operations
