YouthCred Program to Support Nigerian Youths 

The Federal Government has launched the YouthCred scheme to support 400000 Nigerians young with a single interest loans, financial literacy, and the credits management skills.

The youthcred program initiatives support for Nigerian youths Employed, and young entrepreneurs between aged of 18-39 years, the youthcred program also including NYSC Corpers members, to expand access to credit and promote financial literacy.

The program is in line with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s New Hope Programme, the scheme provides low-interest, no obligation loans, the youthcred program are administered by the Nigeria Credit and Reinsurance Corporation (CREDICORP).

The youthcred scheme has officially Launched in July 2025 and its targets to support 400,000 youths across Nigeria wthi loan.

Applicants must complete a digital financial literacy course that covers money management, payments, and responsible lending. After the loan is disbursed, the initiative is driving national credit reform through effective learning and a comprehensive digital delivery system using BVN and NIN for rapid verification. In some cases, the disbursement of items, such as digital devices, is done directly. 

The program Initially to targeting NYSC cadets, the scheme will soon be extended to all youth and young professionals, with a flexible payment plan.

The scheme It also emphasizes data privacy, financial literacy, and empowering youth to transform Nigeria’s credit culture and foster economic inclusion.

The YouthCred Program Consists of three category the NYSC Corpers, Youth Employed and the Youth Entrepreneur.

YouthCred Program Application Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible, Candidates must meets the following eligibility criteria:

  • Been a Nigerian NYSC Corpers, youth employed, and young entrepreneurs.
  • Must be between 18 to 39 years (applicable for those wishes to apply as a youth employed and young entrepreneurs)
  • Must submit loan application form with attached documents

3. Select YouthCred program type Create an account using the required fields, verify and return to the portal to proceed for the application form.

4. Wait for the YouthCred team to proceed for your application loan.

5. Fill out the application loan and click on the tap button to submit your application loan.
