NDE to Shortlist of 41,307 Beneficiaries for RHEI Phase II
The Director-General of the National Development Agency (NDE), Silas Agara, announced in Abuja on Wednesday that 411,906 Nigerians applied for 41,307 vacancies in the second phase of the NDE’s Renewed Hope Employment Initiative. He also disclosed that the registration portal has been closed.
The number of beneficiaries of the program has been increased from the initial target of 27000 planned at this stage to 41307, following the interest and willingness of partners to support the program.
He reported that the North-Central with 83,924 applications, North-East with 93,724 applications, North-West zone received 109,566 applications, South-East with 29,946 applications, South-South had 38,628 applications and the South-West had 56,118 applications received.

The number of beneficiaries of the program has been increased from 27,000 to 41,307 as a result of the support received by the partners in the RHEI second round of training which will starts in the 1st week of September, 2025 and expected 14,000 participants will be released upon completion.
NDE Screening and Final List Date
The screening will be conducted from August 12 to 22, 2025 and the final list of eligible candidates will be released between September 1st and 2st.The training will commerce in the 1st week of September, 2025.

The NDE chief said, that at least four beneficiaries will be selected from each ward across the country. The DG noted that financial institutions working with the NDE will support the selected beneficiaries. However, he warned that budgetary constraints meant that more candidates could not be accepted this year, promising more food in 2026.
