The NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition 2026 is now open for the Nigerian Youth Innovators. Interested and suitably qualified Nigerian youth Innovators can now submit their NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition application form.
The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launches a 2026 Inter Agency Innovation Competition for Nigerian youth Innovators.
This NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition is merely designed to identify, support and scale innovative ideas in science, technology, engineering, manufacturing and applied innovation with a total prize grant up to ₦140 million with mentorship and commercialization support.
The InnovateNaija Challenge is part of NASENI broader mission to promote home grown solutions, reduce dependence on imports, and enhance Nigeria industries and technological capacity.

NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition 2026, interested candidates must be:
- A Young Nigerians with innovative ideas
- An Entrepreneurs, inventors, researchers, and startups
- An Individuals or teams working on science-based, engineering, technology, manufacturing, or applied innovation solutions
- A Projects that can be scaled, commercialized, or solve real-world problems
For this NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition 2026, No specific academic qualification or registered business is required. What matters most is innovation, feasibility, and impact potential, including areas such as financial software and digital solutions.
How the NASENI Inter Agency Innovation Competition Is Structured
Stage 1: State Level Competition: Innovators from 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) submit entries, typically online and sometimes accompanied by short videos. Following evaluation and public engagement, one winner emerges from each state plus FCT and receiving ₦2.5 million in grant funding.
Stage 2: National Finals: From the state winners, Fifteen (15) top innovators are shortlisted for the national finals at the NASENI Invention Fest in FCT Abuja. These finalists pitch before a panel of judges and stakeholders, after which the national winners and grand prize recipient are selected.
The NASENI Inter Agency Innovation competition generally spans about three months, covering submission, public voting, pitching and final assessments.
