Circular Economy Youth Empowerment Initiative for Climate Action 

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in collaboration with SAMU Technology and the Recyclers Association of Nigeria (RAN) invites Nigerian youths for its program, Circular Economy Youth Empowerment Initiative (CEYEI).

The Federal Ministry of Youth Development, in collaboration with SAMU Technology and the Recyclers Association of Nigeria, has launched the Circular Economy Youth Empowerment Initiative (CEYEI), a flagship initiative designed to address unemployment, boost economic growth, and promote environmental sustainability.

Speaking at the launch of the event in Abuja, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, said the programme goes beyond job creation, aiming to produce new Nigerians who are creative, entrepreneurial, and nation-building.

CEYEI will be implemented nationwide, covering all 36 states and over 774 local governments, with integration at its core, ensuring equal access for youth across regions and locations.

About Circular Economy Youth Empowerment Initiative for Climate Action (CEYEI)

The Waste to Wealth Programme is an exciting initiative specifically designed to generate wealth/employment opportunities for the youth by transforming waste into valuable & environmentally friendly resources, promoting a circular economy and sustainable waste management practices in the 36 states of Nigeria and the FCT. 

This initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports on the directives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will empower Nigerian youth to become job creators, develop waste-to-energy businesses, and contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), mitigating the impact of climate change, reducing pollution and boosting the economy.

CEYEIE Application Eligibility Criteria 

  • Must be a Nigerian youths.
  • Must be 18 and above to register.
  • Must have an valid National Identification Number (NIN).
  • Must have an active Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Must an active Email address and Phone Number.
