  • Candidates Must admissible to the program of choice at McGill University
  • Candidates Must be a citizen of a Sub-Saharan African Country and or resident of a Sub-Saharan Country
  • Candidate must be a holder of Bachelor degree from recognized Institutions with First class degree honors
  • Candidates Must be between 35 years old or younger at the time of application‎
  • Candidates must possess a valid passport and meet the requirements for admission to Canada as an international student, which includes obtaining a Study Permit.
  • Candidate must provide at least 2 references below. This can be a professional or an academic reference

Scholarship Application Selection process

The application selection process is based on the following criteria:

  • Academic Excellence: Academic merit meeting McGill University’s admission standards.
  •  Demonstrated track record of transformative leadership and community service.
  •  Application quality reflecting Mastercard Foundation’s ethos and McGill Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program’s values.
  • Potential to contribute to the development of their home country.
  • Evidence of overcoming significant barriers to education (social, financial, personal, practical, or health-related).

How To Apply Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program

1. Candidate Should Visit https://www.mcgill.ca/mastercardfdn-scholars/apply/

2. Candidate Should Complete the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program Application Form by following the methods below:

  • Method 1: Go to Google Form
  • Method 2: Candidate Should Complete his/her personal informations
  • Method 3: Candidate Should answering a designed questionnaires before proceed
  • Method 4: Candidate should confirm his/her scholarship eligibility by ticking all the eligibility and academic overview.
  • Method 5: Candidate should select his/her Field of Study and complete
    Scholarship Personal Statements
  • Method 6: Candidate should email the below documents Recent Resume and Recent Academic Transcript)to mcfapplications.iss@mcgill.ca. The attachment should be PDF documents no larger than 5MB.
  • Method 7: Candidate should at provide 2 references below. This can be a professional or an academic reference.
  • Method 8: Candidate Should Complete Attestations form, containing the rules and regulations of McGill University
  • Method 9: Finally Submission of Application Form by clicking “Submit”

3. Post-Pre-Screening Requirements, if candidates is selected for the scholarship after filled the MasterCard foundation scholarship will require to Provide additional documentation as requested by the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program team.

4. McGill University Application, if candidate is successfully passed the Post-Pre-Screening would Receive invitation to apply to McGill University, Get a fee waiver and Follow detailed instructions for admission application.

The Application would be closed on 25 September, 2024.
