World Bank Group Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2026

The world Bank Group invites an applications from talent and passionate candidates nationwide for their Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2026 in the areas of Education, Health, Social Protection, Economic Policies, Finance, Competitiveness and Investment, Institutions, Poverty and Equity, Agriculture, Climate, Environment, Social and Water.

The Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2026 application portal will now opens on 1st September, 2025 and would be closed on 30th September, 2025. The WBG are encouraged interested candidates to apply before the application deadline. Submitting late applications will not be considered and will automatically disqualification.

  • International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID)

WBG Young Professionals Program (YPP) Eligibility Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of a masters degree with 2-6 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Must have completed a masters degree or equivalent in a relevant field, or a higher degree in a relevant field, by September 1, 2026. If you are applying for a doctoral degree, full time graduate study in a relevant field at an accredited institution may count towards the required work experience, and the degree must be fully completed with all coursework completed by September 16, 2026. 
  • Must be a national of a World Bank member country as evidenced by an officially issued passport or equivalent document.
  • Must have excellent oral and written English (knowledge of other languages may be an advantage). 
  • Must not hold an ET or ST contract with the Bank. You can apply this year if you are a current Junior Professional Associates (JPAs) or former Bank professionals. Additionally, trainees who have completed their appointments by September 30, 2025, are also eligible to apply.
  • Must not be a member of the World Bank Group and not be barred from applying or participating in the program by the eligibility policy at the time of application to the Young Professionals Program.

WBG Young Professionals Program (YPP) Application Process

1. Application Portal: The application portal will open on September 1, 2025 and will close on September 30, 2025. Applications submitted after the aforementioned date will not be considered.

2. Upload Documents: Please prepare the following items for upload at the time of your application: CV/resume (preferably 1 page and no more than 2 pages) Passport photo page to help verify your date of birth and place of origin Transcript(s) or letter of enrollment to verify your undergraduate degree and (or) graduation dates 

5. Application Review: Ensure that your chosen career program supports your application through your skills, education, and experience. 

4. Shortlisted candidates: Shortlisted candidates are expected to be invited for interviews and screening in December 2025 to January 2026. 

5. Selected candidates: The Word Bank team plans to announce the selected candidates by the end of January 2026.

To apply for WBG Young Professionals Program (YPP) 2026, candidates should follow the steps below:

Step : Visit the World Bank Group official portal for Young Professionals Program (YPP) at https://www.worldbank.org/en/about/careers/ and Click on Apply“.

Step 2: Create a profile if you have not an created before (if you a profile then log into your profile to start application).

Step 3: Confirm/verify your email address.

Step 4: Select appropriate streams to submit your YYP application.

Step 5: Click on “Apply now” to start YYP application.

Step 6: Fill out the application form (from step 1-8).

Step 7: Uploads the required documents.

Step 8: Click on“Submit now” to apply for Young Professionals Program (YPP).
