The Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) is a type of commission in the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) that is open to both civilian and military personnel. The course provides a means of enlisting graduates who are specialists in specific professions. NAF DSSC Course 34/2025 Application Eligibility Criteria
1. Applicants must be Nigerians by birth.
2. Applicants must be between 20 and 32 years of age, while Doctors (Advisors) may be between 25 and 40 years of age at the time of application.
3. The exercise is not for serving personnel who wish to be commissioned in the Branch Commission. Therefore, personnel above 32 years of age will not be eligible for the post.
4. A serving personnel must be recommended by his/her Commanding Officer and have served for a period of 10 years and attained the rank of Cpl.
5. Applicants must not be less than 1.66 (m) in height for males and less than 1.63 (m) for females.
6. Applicants must be free from any previous convictions for criminal offences by a court of law.
7. Applicants must be physically and mentally fit and must meet the medical and operational requirements of the Nigerian Air Force.
8. Applicants must possess a minimum of Second Class Honours (2.1) and Upper Credit (3.5) for Higher National Diploma (HND) holders. Holders of M.Sc/M.A and Computer Science will be an added advantage.
9. Applicants must possess Credit in two core subjects English Language and Mathematics and additional of credits 3 in relevant subjects.
10. Applicants for residence permit must possess NYSC discharge certificate or Exemption issued from the NYSC.
11. Applicants for medical profession must possess registration certificate with their legal professional school in Nigeria.
