Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP) For Nigerians

The Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and the Economy, in collaboration with the Fashion Business Centre Abuja, is now accepting applications for the Business Sector training under the Comprehensive Apprenticeship Programme (CLAP).

The Fashion Sector Training Program: Managed by the Fashion Industry Training Center Abuja, this program addresses the skills gap and future plans of fashion industry professionals with technical videos and films. This initiative is a major initiative to reimagine the Nigerian value chain by providing industry-relevant training to emerging entrepreneurs. 

The program will be held in two phases, from September to October 2025, and March 2026, with ongoing monitoring and feedback from the Abuja Import and Export Commission. 

Creative Leap Acceleration Programme (CLAP) Offered Courses: Interested and eligible participants can apply for the following courses: 

(1) Fashion Design and Tailoring Techniques

(2) Fashion Marketing and Certification.

According to the CLAP program board said that, Millions of young Nigerians will be trained directly by the CLAP initiatives program in exportable creative skills. 

Creatives will also be given resources and tools that are specifically made to help them do more.

Application Eligibility Criteria 

Applicants to be eligible for fashion training must: 

  • Hold a minimum of SSCE results (O-Level certificate).
  • Have a Demonstrate foundational knowledge in the field of tailoring or fashion business. 
  • Provide evidence of an existing portfolio/business fashion.
  • Applicants Show a clear commitment to growth and professional development.

  • Recent Passport photography 
  • Schoo Certificate (O’Level certificate or higher certificate)
  • Business Registration Number Slip ( if the business is registered one)
  • Portfolio/Business Photos

Step 1: Visit the CLAP Program official portal at https://clap.gov.ng/ and click on the Apply Now.

Step 2: Select desire account between Creative and Partner willing to apply for and proceed to the application form.

Step 3: Click on the sign up to Create an account using your personal informations.

Step 4: Log into your account, click the button option at the right side and than click on the Opportunities to start your Fashion training application form.

Step 5: Fill out your bio-data and uploads the required documents.

Step 6: Click on the Submit to forward your application.
