National Health Fellows (NHF) Programme
The Federal Government of Nigeria is inviting applications from young citizens for the 2026 Health Fellows Program. The fellowship program is housed in the Sector Wide Approach (SWAP) coordination Office under the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. Fellows will be recruited, paid, and equipped with the necessary tools to drive positive change in the health sector.
The National health fellowship will take 12 months and provides participants with the training, fieldwork, and mentorship.
About National Health Fellows (NHF)
The National Health Fellows is a program of the Nigerian Government, led by the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative SWAP Coordination Office under the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare. These fellows will undergo rigorous training, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and exposure to best practices in the Nigerian health sector. The National Health Fellows Program was established by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in March 2025.

The National Health Fellows (NHF) Programme uses a merit based, transparent process to select the talent and passionate candidates commitmented to transforming Nigeria healthcare system. The NHF fellowship selection process includes the following:
1. Application Submission
Interested and qualified candidates must have submitted their online application form attached with required documents.
2. Interview and Screening
The National Health Fellows board will review all the applications submitted and invited the shortlisted candidates to proceed for the next stage of the selection process. This stage, shortlisted will undergo a virtual and physical interviews.

Successful candidates who passed the virtual and physical interviews will receive an official selection notification and onboarding details to join the National Health Fellows (NHF) Fellowship.
