The Independent National Electoral Commission has opened registration portal for the recruitment of ad-hoc staff for upcoming Anambra State governorship election which is scheduled to take place on November 8th, 2025.

The INEC has announced the recruitment of adhoc staff for the upcoming governorship election, and eligible candidates can apply for various positions.

According to INEC, the registration was conducted for qualified candidates to apply for positions such as Supervisory Presiding Officers (SPOs), Presiding Officers (POs), Assistant Presiding Officers (APOs), Registration Area Technicians (RATECHs), and RAC Managers.

Ad-hoc Staff Positions and Requirements For INEC Anambra Recruitment

If you are interested in being part of the electoral process, you can apply for one of the following positions:

1. For the Position of SPOs

Federal Public/Civil Service & MDAs (Permanent Staff on Grade Level 10-14)
INEC Staff a. Permanent Staff on Grade Level 10-14 (RAOs and other INEC permanent staff not engaged in any other duties (Grade Level 09-14)

2. For the position of POs, APOs (I, II, III)

NYSC also (Serving Corps members)
Former NYSC also eligible (Not later than 4 years post service e.g 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025)
INEC Staff also eligible ( INEC permanent staff on Grade Level 07-08
MDAs of Federal and State ( Permanent Staff with Ordinary National Diploma or on Grade Level L 07-10
Federal Tertiary students (Penultimate students of Federal Tertiary Institutions)
YouthCred Program to Support Nigerian Youths

3. For the Position of RAC Managers

The Institution/school hosting the RAC and or Super RAC (must be a
Head of that school or suitable staff of that school on Grade Level 07 and above

4. For the Position of RATECHs

Only INEC staff (Only Suitable INEC ICT staff of States & Head Quarters) and must be not engaged in any other election duties).

Ad-hoc Staff Eligibility Criteria for Anambra Governorships Election:

Applicants must be an Indigene of Anambra State or residents of Anambra, Delta, Enugu, and Imo states.
Applicants must not belong to any political party member.
Applicants must have not demonstrated or expressed support for any candidate or party.
Applicants must reside in the state selected except for RATECHs who are INEC staff.
